Leo F. Dupere was inducted into the Hall of Fame for his accomplishments in the sport of ice hockey.

Dupere established the single season scoring record at Northeastern with 33 goals and 34 assists as a junior in 1963. He went on to score points at an amazing clip in three years of varsity play, averaging some 44 points per season despite missing 10 games as a senior with a separated shoulder. His career total of 132 points was second only to Art Chisholm. He was recognized as team MVP and All New England in 1962, '63 and '64. Dupere captained the 1963-64 team that finished 14-10.

Dupere saved his best hockey for the cream of Division I, and in his junior season scored hat tricks against Boston University, Boston College and Harvard. Former Northeastern coach Jim Bell rates Dupere as one of the toughest competitors and best pressure players he ever coached. His scoring acumen was matched by his ability to play aggressive hockey without sacrificing his team; Dupere was whistled for only a handful of penalties in three years. He followed up his banner career at Northeastern with a three year hitch with the Eastern Olympics team, and one season with the U.S. National Team.

In addition to his hockey exploits at Northeastern. Dupere also played one season of varsity baseball for the Huskies, as a slick-fielding first baseman.
