Luke Carlin (class of 2004) played in 148 games in three years with the Northeastern baseball program. He is tied for fourth in program history in on-base percentage (.444) and eighth in total runs scored (128). He walked 98 times in his career, good for the seventh-most in the NU record books. He also clubbed 15 home runs while at Northeastern.
 
In 2002, Carlin tallied 46 runs, which ranks as the ninth-most in a single season in program history. He also led the team for two seasons in batting average (.315 and .364) and stolen bases (13 and 17). He was named to the 2002 America East All-Tournament Team after the Huskies finished in second place in the conference.
 
Carlin has played professionally with the MLB's San Diego Padres, Arizona Diamondbacks and Cleveland Indians, and currently plays in the Oakland Athletics' system.
